On a lighter note, I watched Up this afternoon before heading out to watch Dark Shadows (Tim Burton! Johnny Depp! Michelle Pfeiffer! Helena Bonham Carter!) with some friends. I suddenly felt inspired by the scene where the house was floating above the clouds in the clear blue sky, and decided I wanted to make a vector illustration of my own.

There was so much detail on the house that I couldn’t finish it! Now that I’m looking at my work in progress, I’m thinking of redoing the house in a more stylized manner like the balloons. I’ll have to continue maybe over the weekend or next week, since I have work to do!

Can’t wait to finish this. (:

One of my friends got engaged a little while back, and during her birthday-slash-engagement party, she asked us to write her and her fiancé a letter that they’ll read during their wedding reception. Sort of like a time capsule thing. I’m not really big on words, so I decided not to force it and just drew something instead.

Harley is my favorite Batman female villain. One of my designs for my prom dress was based on Harley’s costume, but I didn’t go through with it. I don’t remember why.

See Kiks admiring his sexy Nightwing fingerstripes, mmm. I honestly prefer this costume to the Nightwing reboot, because come on, fingerstripes! And I always thought that blue was perfect for Nightwing. Red is just…I don’t know, it doesn’t set him apart as much or something. Can’t seem to put my finger on it. Anyway.

I admit to not being able to draw guys all too well, especially when it comes to muscles. But I tried my best with the arms! Used a reference picture for the face so it would look more like Kiks. (:

This is the closest I will ever be to becoming Batgirl. I don’t have enough money (or time, for that matter) to have a costume made and jump from building rooftop to building rooftop. Ah well. Couldn’t decide if I wanted a Babs or Cass Batgirl costume so…I did a little mix of both, I guess.

Oh and P.S., my eyes are green because I’m wearing my contacts. It’d be silly for Batgirl to be running around Gotham with glasses over her mask. Although…okay, I just got an idea for my own Batgirl costume rehash. NEXT TIME!
