Hello, my name is Ice!

» Besides running Tender Blender alongside my partners, I'm also a freelance photographer and designer, as well as a part-time teacher at Global Art Katipunan and at SHIFT (School of Intermedia, Film, and Technology) under The ONE School in Makati.

If I weren't so into all this art stuff, I'd probably be a marine biologist or something. Probably.

More stuff about me!

I'm also here!

Anonymous asked: Any suggestions for group shots of people/friends? Do you using a higher F number for them? Where do you aim to take the photo?

For sure, do not use your 50mm especially if it’s a relatively large group, unless you would like to stand very, very far away. Though the 50mm should be fine if it’s just two or three people.

As for aperture, it really depends on how large a group you’re shooting. Usually f/5.6 should be safe. Since you want everyone in focus, I think as long as you aim at one of the faces you should be fine. Personally, I use manual focus when doing this.
