Hello, thank you! (:

I find the 50mm f/1.8 to be a tricky little thing when it comes to taking self portraits. Framing myself is a little bit of a challenge, given the certain distance I have to be from the camera. An added challenge is if you want to use large apertures, since you’ll always want to focus on your eyes. What I do is I try to have a good estimate of where I should be, and set the appropriate AF point that’ll focus on my eyes. I make use of an IR remote. (:

As for the Kai Wong photo, yes, my cousin and I just happened to spot him upon our arrival at the Hong Kong airport! We asked if we could take photos with him before hopping on the train to Kowloon. (:
